Soccer for Andrew

Andrew's first year of soccer was interesting...he did great his very first game and then it all went downhill.  He seemed to have completely lost interest in playing.  I know at this age they really just run around in a pack and try to kick the ball wherever, but it got to the point where it was a battle to get him to stand on the field.  If I got him to just stand there, it was a win.

As you can see, if we got him onto the field, sometimes he got super distracted and picked at the grass or played in the goal netting.

We are glad Andrew was willing to try and play.  I'm not sure we will put him in it again, at least not for another year or two.  He was very proud of his medal though.

Soccer for Tyson

I've put all of Tyson's soccer pictures for the Spring season all on this one post.  He had a great time playing with a few of the neighborhood boys on his team.  I have to say, the boys are getting really good.  It has been so fun to watch him get better and better every year.  We are so proud of him and how he works so hard to always do his best.  He did have a coach that ended up basically giving up (I think his son didn't like to play anymore) and stopped coming to games and holding practices.  That was pretty lame but the team got through it.

Andrew's Preschool Pictures and Graduation

A few days before Andrew's graduation, the teacher invited all the parents over for cookies.  I wanted to go but I had woken up earlier in the week with a terrible pain in my neck.  I could barely move my arm and couldn't turn my head without excruciating pain.  I went and got a massage and turns out that with all the throwing up I had been doing, I had developed lots of knots in my back which was then effecting my neck.  It took a few weeks to get back to normal.  Anyway, even though I was in pain I still went.  Andrew told his teacher I wasn't coming, because I had told him that, so when I showed up he was very happy and surprised.  It was very sweet. 

Unfortunately, because of dress rehearsal for the dance studio's recital I had to miss his graduation party.  Grandma Murray was able to be there in my place and she took lots of pictures and told me how cute it was.  He also got a CD of pictures through out the year set to music and we've watched it more times than I can count.
