Middle of January Randoms

Tyson invited Noah and Kameron over to play one afternoon. Listening to these boys play with Legos was so funny.  They make me laugh.  And Tyson reading with his headlamp is pretty great too.

Documentation of what my house looks like when I take a shower and nurse Hannah!  I would love to say I stayed totally calm but I didn’t.  I know there was lots of screaming and tears. 

Smitten is the best word to describe the boys’ relationship to Hannah.

Jeffrey’s “thumbs up” is the BEST.  We love it so much we just don’t have the heart to correct him. 

This little cutie made me miss the Sacrament on January 17th!  I was at home feeding her and thought I’d be good on time.  Of course she then pooped, then spit up all over the place, I couldn’t get her car seat buckled in right and then couldn’t find a parking spot at church.  There were no spots left and I had to park down the street.  I ended up being 20 minutes late.  When she is hungry, she’s hungry.  But that smile really is the best.  She’s gotten pretty talkative and coos all day long lately which has been so much fun!

And these nursing pictures are really just for me.  I wanted to remember the image of nursing my last baby.

Jeffrey’s first dentist appointment!  I can’t get over how little he looks in that dental chair.  He did great and wasn’t scared. 

More pictures of Hannah to help me remember this time in our lives!  Her sleeping in the rock n play is simply the best, her ballerina pjs are so adorbale on her and a picture of what I get to look at after I’ve nursed her, changed her, wrapped her and rocked her to sleep.

This day (Jan 21st) may have felt extremely long with whinny, screaming children but I’ll do my best to forget all that as we read scriptures together as a family.  In fact, for the first time this year, Andrew has expressed some interest in the scriptures and is repeating after Brian.  Progress is progress, no matter how small.

Hannah is 3 months!

Baby girl is 3 months old!  She is growing like crazy and I keep telling her to stop it but she won’t listen.  I’m positive she’s out grown the size 1 diapers and 3 month pjs but I’m trying to get another week out of them.  She eats like a champ, sleeps like a champ and blows bubbles and spit like a champ.  She has the most precious smile and giggle.  She loves the swing and being held.  She is trying to sit up (which is compeltely silly of her to be doing) and her fingers go straight to her mouth every second.  You can tell by her photoshoot she was trying to sit up and put her hands in her mouth.

Beginning of January Randoms

Hannah in her beautiful Christmas dress!  We attended Dave Finlayson’s son’s baby blessing on the 3rd.

Jeffrey doing some light reading.  I registered Jeffrey for preschool on the 4th.  I still can’t believe he is old enough for it!  I decided to go with Mrs. Adam’s preschool again.  I’m not sure if Jeff will be potty trained or not so her school is definately the safest bet for us.  Plus, we all love her!

We spent a few more hours at the Highland house before dad had to leave. It was heart breaking.  Every time he leaves it gets harder and harder.  He is the baby whisperer!

I didn’t ask, I didn’t even suggest they clean the dishwasher.  They decided on “cleaning” the dishwasher with water all by themselves.

“This mom gig rocks.  I read Jeffrey a book and then he turned around and started to read it to Hannah.  Talk about melting my heart to mush.  And yes, I’ve had some pretty great moments from these boys lately (dishwasher, etc) but I’m not naive to the fact that it can change in the drop of a hat.  I’m sure my next picture will be something chaotic they’ve done.”

“Told ya…”

This same night on January 7th Jeff started to hide under the table at Chuck A Rama and I asked him if he needed to poop.  He said “Yes,” so I immediately picked him up and took him to the bathroom.  He made me turn around in the stall with him but he totally pooped.  It was one of those moments where I went, “What the heck?!  Did this just happen?!”  He did actually then did it two more days in a row.  I suppose that was a cue to potty train him but I guess I just wasn’t ready.

 

Nursing hannah in the chair and rocking her to sleep is one of my favorite things to do at the moment.  I just love her so much!  One of these nights I was rocking and signing “You are My Sunshine” to Hannah and she kept frowning at me.  It was pretty cute but sad too.

One random side note, Andrew saw a picture of Grandpa Dickson.  It is the picture with me and Brian and Tyson as a little baby in the Dickson backyard.  He pointed to Grandpa and said, “I miss this guy.” I almost started to cry because it was so sweet and then he pointed to Tyson in the picutre and said, “There is baby Hannah!”  Haha!

Tyson played a season of basketball for the first time.  It was fun to watch him learn and grow in the sport and play on a team with all the neighborhood boys.  For a kid that has never really even played it for fun did amazing!  He got better and better at every game.
