Birthday Weekend!

Andrew was completely spoiled the weekend before and the weekend after his birthday.  The weekend before was the Lego movie night out and the weekend after were 2 parties!  He was so use to having cake for 2 days in a row that on the third day he asked where his cake and ice cream were.

Valentines Day pictures!  It’s hard to get 3 young kids to look at the camera at the same time.  Forget about smiling, I’m just looking for all 3 sets of eyes.

On February the 15th we had some friends over to celebrate Andy’s birthday.  We showed off our brand new house and chatted for a few hours.  We walked around the street and went into the houses that were under construction.  It was my way of trying to get some of our best friends to move out by us.

I’m upset I didn’t get any pictures of our friends at the party.

The following day on the 16th of February we did it all over again with family.

He loved his birthday weekend so much that sometimes he still talks about HIS birthday.

Since my mom wasn’t in town yet for Andrew’s birthday we had a little party for him when she got here at the beginning of March.  She got some cupcakes and he opened his present from her and my dad.

Andrew’s night out

On mom, we took Andrew out to eat at Popeye’s Kitchen and then to see the Lego movie since he was turning 3 years old!  We had a great night and the kids LOVED the Lego Movie.  It was a welcomed break from all the unpacking.

I remember Jeffrey getting to be difficult at the theater and realized this would be the last movie we take him too until he’s at least 2 1/2 years old for that very reason.

And here are pictures of Andrew in the morning on his birthday getting into trouble…just like every other day.

Moving in…

I should have taken some pictures of us moving!  We were all so busy and running around everywhere that I’m not really surprised I didn’t take any.  Even on the day we were moving, I took Andrew to go meet his preschool teacher and pay a deposit, and run to the city office to switch over the utilities and sign up for a garbage can.  It was pretty crazy.

This is just a fun picture of Andrew while Brian and I were packing.

February 3rd was moving day.  We has the help of Brian’s parents, Leny, Carlos and then John and Carina and my brother towards the evening.  We couldn’t have done it without all of their help.

At the end of the day everyone crashed on the mattress on the floor.  It was exhausting…and I wasn’t even lifting heavy stuff!

The very next day we had the blinds installed and the day after that the washer and dryer.  Andrew sat and watched the washer and dryer for a bit.  Since then we’ve had a couple issues of him putting items in there, stopping washes and I even woke up one morning hearing a faint “Help!”  I searched the whole house and found that he had completely shut and locked himself in the dryer.  That kid gives me lots of mini heart attacks.

I was so grateful Brian had that whole week off though.  We were able to set up a lot of the house and start to get unpacked, sign up Tyson at his new school and get settled.

The walk through, Beachbody retreat, and getting the keys

The walk through was a couple of hour process.  We scrutinized the house.  There was blue tape everywhere.  I told Brian, “They are going to rue the day they decided to give me blue tape and told me to point out flaws…”

All and all it was mainly cosmetic.  At least that’s what we noticed before moving in…

In between the walk through on Tuesday, signing the papers on Thursday night and getting the keys, I went to a Beachbody retreat in Heber.  It was exactly what I needed to refresh, gear up for my business, and moving into a new house!

Working out with the 21 day fix…it looks like I’m not working hard but I was.  I didn’t eat before the workout and felt faint but I did my best.

I got home on Sunday morning, we went to church and then we drove out to the house with the keys!
