One year and brother pictures

We already had tons and tons of toys and necessities from when Tyson was a baby/toddler, so there wasn’t a lot for us to buy Andrew for his birthday.  My mother asked what to get Andrew and I told her I had no idea. We decided to use some of his birthday money to get 1 year pictures done and to buy a few toys. We LOVE how they turned out.  I love Fotofly!  I prefer outside pictures but since it is February I wasn’t going to get them done outside, so this place was the perfect solution.  My mother and I spent an hour on the phone deciding which ones to get printed for our houses.

Here they are narrowed down from 70 images to 13 images.  Nearly impossible to do.

Andrew’s 1 year stats

His appointment on Valentines went well.  He is a tiny guy but the doctor was pleased with the development.  Tyson walked before he was one and Andrew had just started to pull himself up.  I guess the average child starts to walk between 12-18 months.  I thought that was interesting!  He is now completely off of formula.  He has Vitamin D milk and eats what we eat.  He is kind of picky but I refuse to make him what he prefers. Here are his stats and I told you he’s a tiny guy (except for his head)!

Length:  28 1/2”---12%

Weight:  17 lbs 141/2 oz---1%

Head Circumference:  47 cm---68%

He babbles a lot and says baba.  That’s what we call a bottle so we really think he knows the connection. He could pull up onto furniture and do a little bit of cruising along it.  He still crawled completely in the army style.  And he sure knows how to ‘display negativism’ as the dr calls it.  I call it temper tantrums :)

Valentines Day

Tyson is at such a fun age (and a tough one too) where he understands Holidays.  He gets so excited and can’t wait for the gifts, celebrations, parties, etc.  Preschool really gets him excited for holidays.  They must talk it up even more than I do!

Tyson helped me ‘heart attack’ the door for Brian.  He helped me cut the hearts out by cheering me on.  I told him to start writing or coloring on the hearts as I finished them.  One of the hearts he scribbled on looked like something and he said, “Look mom!  I drew daddy a dragon!”  I wrote down things that Tyson told me when I asked him what he loves about his dad.  They were:

Love when daddy took me to the museum to see the balls (we went back in April of 2011 and he still remembers!)

Love when daddy uses the big scissors (might have something to do with the fact that I was using scissors to cut the hearts)

Love daddy helps me pick up my toys

Love daddy because he helps me get my candy

Love going golfing with daddy

I tried to get a picture of the boys together by the door but it wasn’t happening.  Here’s Andrew dressed in his red.

Last year we came home from the hospital from having Andrew on Valentines Day.  Amazing what a year can do!

Andrew’s 1st Birthday Party

Andrew had a fabulous 1st birthday.  He loved all of his presents and loved the cake.  Brian helped him have a small taste of the frosting at first but after that I don’t think I’ve seen a kid ever dive into it so quickly!  He’s adorable and we just love him to pieces.  Thanks to everyone who came out to support our Andrew on his special day.

Waiting for the party to start!
