Gymnastics Day

Tyson had Gymnastic Day at Preschool this afternoon.  I signed up to help volunteer.  Still not exactly sure what possessed me to do that.

Andrew was crawling all over the place and I got to deal with 7 groups of 6-8 kids in a rotation that are 3-5 years old.  Let’s just say I left exhausted.  Andrew was all over the place and trying to eat dirty equipment and I had to show kids how to sit on a tiny ball and bounce on it.

When we were in the car driving home I asked him if he had fun.  He told me no and that he didn’t like it.  He does that whenever it is time for the fun to end.  Give it 30 minutes to an hour, ask again and he’ll tell you the truth.  He told me he loved it soooooo much! You can see it all over his face.

 

This was my station.  Can you just picture me on one of those tiny balls trying to bounce on it?  I was proud of Ty though.  He smoked those other kids in the race.  Natural.

   

Tyson told me this morning that their next activity day after gymnastics is ballet day. He told me to ask his teachers about it. So I did and they laughed and laughed. :)  I think I may talk about ballet a lot.

Reading and Bath Time

This book Ty wanted to show off reminds me of when he was younger.  I use to point at all of the vehicles and he would say every single one and never mess up.

These bath time pictures started out so innocent.  They were having a great time and then…

 I feel bad for Andrew a lot.  I know that Tyson loves him but that little boy sure has a hard life.  He is constantly being bugged, poked, knocked over, stepped on, and toys taken away from all the time.  Being the youngest is not easy, especially for Andrew.

Photography?

I went to a photography class on the 23rd.  I learned so much!  I actually know what shutter speed, ISO and F-stop are and how to take my camera of off auto.  I was told to practice the next day so I wouldn’t forget everything.  I took around 150 pictures that Saturday.  I never plan to be a professional photographer but I just wanted to learn how to take better pictures of my kids and how to use my nice camera.

Just for fun I’ll show a few examples from practicing.

By messing with the shutter speed and f-stop I was able to lighten a picture without using a flash.  Pretty cool!

 

I am pretty frustrated though.  I swear I’ve done everything they told me to do and the pictures come out a weird color and tend to be blurry or pixely.  Our condo just doesn’t get much natural light I guess?  I am kind of at a loss and annoyed about that.

Because I was taking a million pictures Ty wanted to put on his Halloween costume.

Got the walker out for Andrew.  He was more interested in eating it and playing with the wheels after he tipped over.  Love my boys!

    

Then we headed outside for a bit.  I like taking pictures outside way better.  They always come out clearer. 

   

I better keep practicing on those inside pictures…

St. Patrick’s Day

Preschool does a great job of getting Tyson into the spirit of every holiday.  He loves it!

This morning we woke up to a silly trick by the leprechauns!  They changed the color of the milk to green!!

 

They also left Tyson and Andrew a rainbow to find.  We all hoped there was gold at the end but we had to do a scavenger hunt to find out!

The hunt for the rainbow was a success and it had some gold at the end!  Tyson enjoyed it so much he was really sad there weren’t any more clues to find. 

Dentist!

I dread the dentist ever since I’ve had kids.  Why?  Because pregnancy destroys my teeth and I usually end up with 2 to 3 cavities every appointment.  It was a miracle though, no cavities from any of us!  Wahoo!

Tyson does great at the dentist.  He talked about the ‘sugar bugs’ that can be on his teeth if he doesn’t brush.  He showed the hygienist his dental game on his Leapster Explorer and he was excited to get a new toothbrush and a prize at the end!

 

After the dentist we went to JDawgs for lunch.  It brought back so many memories from college and BYU.  It was fun to share the deliciousness with our boys.  After lunch we went to the mall and I found a lovely shirt on sale and I spent some of my birthday money.

Soccer

Tyson really enjoyed his soccer sports class.  I feel that signing him up for Itty Bitty sports has been a great outlet for him.  He gets to go crazy for an hour and I don’t have to deal with it, usually.

Tyson got pretty aggressive during the game.  He stopped for nothing and was determined to get the ball every time.  I decided we needed to have a chat about it when he tripped his friend Wes and stepped on his face…yeah, I know.

Kicking the ball in for a point!  Go Tyson!!!  Max is the little boy in red and he was so hilarious as the goalie.  At one point he was laying down in the net.  All of us were laughing so hard!
