Strawberry Days

It was really fun to take the boys to the carnival on Saturday.  I know they needed the outlet, attention, and fun.  They’ve been good boys while we’ve been trying to adjust to being a family of 5 (that sound so weird!).  We let Tyson pick a few rides and let Andrew ride on whatever he was big enough for that Ty picked.  He was unsure about the Jeep ride, and loved the train and carousel.  Strawberry Days is a tradition to us.  What will we do when we move?  We’ll just have to make a new tradition in the new city we will be living in I guess.

Andrew would say, “All done!” and then try to climb out.  I wonder if he thought his life was in danger because Tyson was driving…

We sent Tyson to go down the slide by himself.  He was so brave.  He stood inline without cutting (like most of the other kids), he handed the lady his tickets and when he got to the top of the slide he waited until the worker told him he could go.  Brian and I looked at each other and knew that we have to be doing some things right as a parent to have our 5 year old behave like that.

All 3 boys were out within minutes of getting in the van.  Mission accomplished!

Canyon and Big boy bed

To get out of the house one Sunday afternoon after Jeffrey came home, we went for a drive through the canyon.  It was a nice drive; however, I never realized how much you use your stomach muscles while sitting in a car, especially on a really curvy road.

Andrew started getting to smart earlier in the month and figure out how to climb on top of his crib and get on to the dresser.  We thought it was time to move him to a bed before he broke his arm or something.  It has been difficult to get him to nap and go to bed at night.  It took about a week and a half for him to realize this was his new bed.  (We got this toddler bed off of KSL for $5.  I feel like we won the lottery!)  Now he usually falls asleep somewhere in his room on the floor.  What a silly boy.  I’m not sure why the floor would be move comfortable then a bed.

T-ball

Tyson has been in t-ball this month and has been doing so well.  He’s a very active, talented guy.  It has been tricky trying to figure out how to get him to practice without hauling all 3 kids, so my mom and I have taken turns taking him and watching him play.  Brian doesn’t get home until 7pm so he’s missed all of the games so far, but on Thursday he will get to come to one.  I know that will be fun for Brian to see.

I just asked Tyson what his favorite part of T-ball is.  He replied, “When I hit the ball off of the T.”  He sometimes gets to stand at 1st base and he does a really great job there.  He got to be a catcher one day.  He’s just great at it all.  Spoken like a true mother Smile

Standing at 1st base and signing, “I love you.”  Um, melt my heart Ty.

And a video for fun

Ty’s last game was on the 2nd of July.  Here he is with his coach (Byron Tanner) and showing off his medal.

2 weeks

IMG_0666

He is an amazing baby.  He nurses great, he sleeps great (even while I type this Andrew has been throwing a full on tantrum for the last 10 minutes and Jeffrey is sleeping right through it), he only cries when he is hungry or his diaper is being changed.  He didn’t really enjoy his first bath at home but he did seem to enjoy his second one.  At his 2 week check up he was a healthy little peach.  We discussed his congestion while he sleeps, his plugged tear duct, and his weight.  He has done well at gaining weight back to his birth weight and more.

Weight:  7 lbs 5 oz—13%

Length:  21 inches—63%

Head Circ:  35 cm—15%

1 week old pictures

Thank you to Nikki from the bottom of my heart.  She got the sweetest pictures of my baby Jeffrey.  She was even able to capture a picture with all of my boys.  That task is pretty much impossible.  It was pure chaos that morning.  Tyson threw a fit and accidently smacked my incision.  Andrew was screaming and Jeffrey needed a diaper change right beforehand.  The pictures make everything seem so peaceful  Smile
