Raspberry Picking!

I went last year as, you many recall, to a Raspberry Patch in Payson.  I wanted to go again this year but really wanted Brian to come with.  Once we decided on a Saturday morning late in September, I called up my friend Heather to see if her and Joe wanted to come too!  I loved it so much I wanted to share it with them.  I love fresh raspberries and they are only $2.50 lb at this place.  You just can’t beat that!  Our family walked away with 4 lbs.  I made freezer jam and froze the rest for smoothies.  So good.  I honestly don’t think there is much that tastes better than jam.

Love these two guys!

This picture is so funny of Dallin, Joe and Heather’s boy.  He’s got the bowl on his head and that grin on his face says it all.  He had a great time picking and he is the age that Tyson was last year when we went.

Random happenings with Grandparents in town

Make sure to check out my 2 latest postings down below from Labor Day weekend.  I have a few other pictures and a video from when my parents were in town and they are just random.  Enjoy!

First of all this is a picture I found of me at my Grandparents house.  I saw it and thought how much Andrew looks like me as a baby.  Does anyone else agree or am I making it up?

A fun Sunday evening in the swings!

And yes, Tyson has a green mark on his face.  It is sidewalk chalk and I think some of the kids thought it was funny to draw on their faces.

And here is a video of Andrew rolling around! He is an expert now.

Labor Day Weekend—Part II PARK CITY

Brian ran the Payson Onion Days 5K on Labor Day.  He didn’t do as well as he would have liked but it was a good start for getting back into running.  He is seriously a super runner and it completely amazes me at his ability!

In the afternoon we headed to Park City with my dad and then my mom met up with us after looking in on her parents.  (It has been a rough go with my Mom’s parents.  My grandma ended up in the hospital for having pneumonia and a bunch of other things.  She ended up having to go to a physical rehab center to get her strength up to move around her house.  Then just a few days after she finally got home my grandpa started collapsing.  He ended up in the ER in the middle of the night to find out he had to get a pace maker put it.  So hard for them).

Okay, so Park City was super fun.  We did the Alpine Slide and then later in the evening went back to ride the Alpine Coaster.  The Alpine Coaster was sooo fun!  It was new to all of us which was really exciting!  The Coaster was great because I didn’t have to worry about flying off the track.  However, I did have Tyson with me so I kept the speed within reason.  He loved it though.  I started screaming and he was like what are you doing Mom?  Don’t yell!  Hahaha!  I told him sometimes we can do that when we have fun.  Right after that he screamed the whole way down :)

I love this picture.  Makes me remember when Brian and I were just dating and we went to Park City with my family.

Thanks Mom & Dad.  Lagoon and Park City were so much fun.  We all loved it!

Labor Day Weekend--Part I LAGOON

My parents were still in town for Labor Day weekend.  On Saturday we went to Lagoon and it was seriously so fun.  I hadn’t had that much fun in a long time.  It wasn’t very crowded at all and the wait times for the rides were really short.

My nephew Max and my brother Michael.

The two grandsons.  They can be best friends or best enemies.  They are so cute together though!  A lady at the gate even asked if they were twins :)

This picture makes me laugh only because it reminds me of how we thought we could all fit into the Ferris Wheel together.  We all did but it was a tight, tight squeeze.  It was pretty hilarious.  I am sure everyone was wondering why we all crammed into one :)

Group shot (minus Andrew, Grandma and Grandpa).  Anytime my niece, Madi, loved a ride or thought it was awesome she would hold up her hands and make peace signs.  She did it for the picture so I thought I would too!

Lagoon group

Tyson LOVED the Bombora ride.  He rode it almost 10 times.  I think it is new so I’m excited to go next year and see what else he can ride.

And Emily really wanted Michael to go on the SkyCoaster with her.  I thought she was crazy.  Well I ended up getting talked into it and Brian went with me.  I was so scared.  I love roller coasters but this is different.  Taken to the top, hanging by a rope and let loose, seriously?!  It was so fun!  I loved it!!!

My mom took this picture and she told me to smile.  This was the best I could do.  I look scared don’t I?  :)IMG_1881_edited-1

Here’s a video of Brian and I.  Just watching this makes me nervous all over again.  There were some teenage boys that went before us and I screamed at a part getting hooked up that isn’t scary at all and they all laughed and said, “Already?!’  I was shaking so bad before they even started pulling us up!  My mom told me that Tyson LOVED watching us do this.  He was running back and forth trying to see us as we flew by and was going crazy with excitement.

Here is my dad and Tyson waiting for us to finish the Sky Coaster. IMG_1884

This is the only picture I got of Andrew at Lagoon.  He was seriously the best ever.  He pretty much sat in that stroller the whole day!  What a cutie! IMG_1885

Brian’s work party.  We were pretty excited to go to this because we’ve never been to a work party for Brian before.  Ever.  We’ve been married for almost 6 years people.  He just never had a job that did them I guess.

Andrew FINALLY taking a bottle.  All of Wednesday was spent with him fighting that dang bottle.  I refused to feed him until he took it.  He finally took it around 7 pm.  That day really blew.  It was awful.  I was so happy and guess what, he doesn’t want that bottle again.  UGH!

It’s a good thing he is cute…

When Andrew turned 6 months…

So I’m late on this.  Like really late.  Andrew turned 6 months old almost a month ago.  With vacations I’m just now getting around to documenting it.  Oh well, better late than never!  Here are some pictures and his latest stats. Love my Andrew boy to pieces.  He is seriously an angel sent from heaven.  I have NO doubt about it!

Length:  26 1/2 inches---above 50%

Weight:  14 lbs 4 oz---5%

Head Circumference:  43.8 cm—50%

He lost quite a bit of weight having that awful 10 day virus.  He did gain some weight back so the Dr was not concerned at all.  That was good news to hear :)

At his appt the Dr told me that soon I will notice him starting to reach for items and grab them instead of just accidently hitting them with his arms.  I told him he was already doing that and he was impressed.  Andrew at that point could roll over but he wasn’t doing it a lot.  He was right where he should be and the Dr. had no concerns.  He was impressed that he sleeps as well as he does and told me it was time for him to cry it out.  I told him I would do it that night.  I was worried.  Really worried.  With Tyson it took well over 4 hours to get him to cry himself to sleep.  Well I prepared myself for the worst and Andrew cried for like 3 minutes.  Not even kidding.  See, I told you he is my angel babe.  The swing is packed up now and the jumperoo is out. I love the jumperoo and so does he!

I took these when he turned 6 months old!
