Brian's week off

Brian took a week off in June and instead of taking a trip (we had discussed going somewhere but it got nixed with me begin pregnant and a family reunion in August) we would play around our house and do fun things together as a family.

One day we went up to my Grandma and Grandpa Dickson's house to find a few things of ours and take home.  Grandpa is in a nursing type home so we know it is getting close to him dying and Patrice needs the house to start getting cleaned out to sell.  Afterward we went to the hamburger and shake shop down the street from their house.  It was become a little bit of a tradition to go when we are up by their house.

Another day we went to the Lindon pool.  It has this pirate ship slide that we knew Andy would love.  Tyson really enjoyed the lazy river and slides and Jeffrey was okay as long as someone was holding him.  He didn't like it when we let go and tried to help him float.  It was nice to go to a pool.  I never feel like I can handle going to the pool with three kids by myself so this was a perfect activity to do while Brian could come.

We had mom watch Jeffrey (and she also took and got him an adorable hair cut at Cookie Cutters) while we took the older two boys to the movie Home at the dollar theater.

I can't remember what else we did.  I'm betting we did some chores around the house and yard and grocery shopped on the other days.  That sounds like us.
