March phone pictures

March dragged on but was also a complete blur.  It was filled with me throwing up multiple times a day and just trying to keep all the kids and everyone alive.

I finally had a decent day so I took the boys to Article Circle for lunch so they could get out of the house.

Lots and lots and lots of messes were made and I didn't have the energy to fight with them to pick it up.

8 weeks pregnant

We were having weird issues with our van.  It kept making the most bizarre noise.  We'd taken it in multiple times to get fixed but they could never figure out the problem.  They finally came and took the van to have for a week or two to do a through inspection.  I had fun for a day driving the Honda Pilot around and then I really missed our van.  Crazy story, we went to the Cracker Barrel by the airport to meet with my parents for lunch since my dad had just flown in.  Great lunch but Andrew started getting feverish while we were there.  On the drive home I caught Andrew's throw up in a bucket.  I'm so glad it didn't get everywhere in the rental car.  That would have really been bad.  I also had my first experience with heart burn.  I thought I was having a heart attack.

Jeffrey throwing a tantrum on the floor.  It was funny.

More messes.  This time it was cereal crushed into the carpet and couch, with a whole bin full of cereal in the bottom right corner.

Grandpa Murray was in town and that means lots and lots of love from the boys.

I got a flyer from Tyson's school about an after school golf program.  My mom suggested I have Tyson do this since I was so sick and it would give him something to do on Monday (which is an early release day).  It was perfect and he was really cute to watch.  He said he liked it.  He likes all sports and everything he has tried.

We still had sweet moments around here.

Tyson told me he was suppose to have a lepruchan trap for school.  I still think it wasn't a requirement and that the teacher probably said they could bring one if they want.  Anyway, I did not have the energy to make one or help him but Grandma Murray came to the rescue and helped Tyson.  He was SO proud.

February

Brian and I attended a stake couples Valentines dance.  Totally my kind of thing, Brian, not so much.  He did dance one slow song with me and then had enough.

Jeffrey getting into things and making a mess

I was babysitting a little girl from our ward for a few hours one morning and was doing chores, on a conference call for coaching, showering, etc and THIS is what these kids did.  They got into the came closet and pulled apart every game that we own.  It took me over an hour to clean it up and put all the game pieces in the right places.

Getting Jeffrey up from a nap and he some how got his arms out of his onesie.

Getting water from the fridge, you know, in your underwear.

I was able to go to a play called Pinkalicious play with Andrew for his preschool field trip.  He had no idea what Pinkalicious was (it is a super girlie and popular book, where the girl turns pink because she likes to eat pink things too much).  He did pretty good and loved the popcorn, candy and drink that he got.

I found out I was pregnant the day before Valentines day and soon after I became really sick.  The sickest I've ever been with any pregnancy.  I pretty much stayed in pajamas all day long and we took pictures to pass the time.  Goodness, I look sick.

Potty Training Andrew

I started potty training Andrew at the end of January just before his 4th birthday.  I figured that way he would have it done and over with by his birthday.  Yeah, I was wrong about that.  He was pretty good about going pee in the potty but poop was a completely different story.  I tried candy, money, gross Zombie guys from the dollar store, stickers, pirate coins (and I'm pretty sure I even bribed him with a trip to Disneyland) and none of it, NONE of it worked.  If you can tell by the chart that I made for him he got progressively worse.  (Smile sticker was pee success, cars sticker was poop success and the tally marks at the bottom were accidents)
I know I was suppose to remain calm but after 2-3 weeks of tons and tons of accidents I was losing my cool.  I cried so much and started to yell.  I don't know if it was divine intervention, someone mentioning this or what but all the sudden we realized that he was constipated.  The light went off.  It all made sense.  He had battled with constipation for a long time and I felt bad I didn't put the pieces together sooner. Lots of little poop in his diaper and then his underwear.  We ended up having to take some drastic nasty measures (suppositories) and then that did the trick.  It still took a few days after that but then he got it down.  I'm so grateful I started training him when I did and that he was done before I starting getting insanely sick with my pregnancy.  That would have been even worse.

I of course felt bad that it wasn't really his fault and I'd love to erase it ALL from my memory but I'm hoping one day I can shake my head and laugh about it.  Or at least share the story with him when he is trying to potty train his kids.  Pay back perhaps?

The toilet paper in the toilet I think was either Andrew's rebellion or Jeffrey getting into the bathroom and playing with the toilet paper.  Doesn't matter who did it, someone did.

A cute moment with my soon to be 4 year old taking a nap in my arms.  I needed moments like that to keep me from eating copious amounts of chocolate or completely losing my mind.

Andrew's 4th birthday

It was the 101 day of school on Andrew’s birthday so Mrs. Adams had a fun Dalmatian party. Andrew loved it and my mom also took cupcakes to his preschool for his birthday.
Here he is after school and getting measured to see how tall he is at 4 years old! I had to teach that day so my mom gave him his new bike! He really struggled using it for a few months but come the summer, he was a pro.

Andrew enjoying his birthday morning doughnut.  It is a fun tradition I've started with the kids since moving here and Ridleys is not too far away.

We had a pirate themed party for Andrew. We invited family and a few friends. My mother and I were shopping I think back in November at Target and saw the decorations. We just KNEW Andrew needed them for his party.
We had to do two different shifts for his party. Mike and Emily couldn’t stay for the original time of the party so they came early. I think we ate lunch together and hung out. We wanted them to have some cake so we sang to him and cut the cake. Then when everyone else arrived we sang again! Thank you to Costco for designing the cake. I just took in a napkin and they copied it and did another fantastic job.

He was super excited about his party so I’m not sure why he was so upset when I was trying to take a picture of him with his sword, eye patch, hat and banner.

Love his face while opening presents.
