FotoFly Santa

Year 3.  Wow, I just love my little elves.

No one was crying or screaming during the pictures.  So that is what I call SUCCESS with 3 boys 5 years old and under.

I got a little worried when we got there because Jeffrey started crying.  I don’t know what happened there but once we held him for a bit he ended up being fine.

Setting up the Christmas Tree

Before the Christmas tree could get set up, Brian had to pack away the baby swing and get out the Jumperoo.  Jeffrey loved it from the second he got in it.  So cute.  The older boys were just as excited for some reason.

We sent the kids to bed and then Brian, Jeffrey and I set up the tree.  That way Tyson and Andrew could help with the ornaments after church the next day.  Jeffrey had a good time experiencing the pokiness of the tree and looking at the lights.

Trying to get a picture of these two smiling at the same time takes a bit of work.  But we got it…after bribing with candy.

The stockings with Jeffrey’s added this year.  We are a family of 5.  That is still crazy to me.

Just hanging all the ornaments on the same branch.  A very typical 2 year old thing to do!  At first I figured I would just fix them later but then realized I needed to enjoy the chaos of it all instead.  A couple of days later all the ornaments ended up at the top of the tree anyway.  Andrew kept re-arranging them and I was afraid a special ornament would get broken.  It was a ‘special’ tree this year.

Thanksgiving

The two babies of the family.  Both Jeffrey and Jack were wearing shirts that said, Mommy’s little turkey!

We chatted the afternoon and evening away, ate way too much food, and looked at Black Friday ads.

Jeffrey turns 6 months

It is bitter but sweet to watch my baby grow.  He is just the cutest little guy.

He rolls around like a pro and he can get where ever he wants…within reason.  He is super fast too.  He has a smile that lights up our hearts and a belly laugh that makes us all laugh with him.  He LOVES to watch his older brothers run around.  I can tell he is just itching to be able to crawl to follow them all over the house.  I stopped breastfeeding him around this time.  It was hard.  It was really hard.  He wouldn’t ever take a bottle and he was not sleeping at night very well.  We figured I was running out of milk and it was time for him to not have to have me every 3 hours.  So after a 24 hour rebellion he finally gave in.  I had to hold him pinned up against me so his head and arms wouldn’t move and we had to heat up the bottle.  But he did it.

He had 3-4 naps a day around 6 months.  He was still being wrapped and rocked to sleep or in the baby swing.

At his 6 month check up we didn’t even talk about his throat sounds because they have been gone.  He was still growing so it looks like I wasn’t running low.  I mean, he was in the 2 percentile.  Perhaps it was time anyway.
