We had invited my brother’s family and my mom over for dinner and games. Unfortunately, Max was very sick. I’m grateful that Michael brought Madi, even though we missed Emily and Max.
We had hamburgers and hot dogs, watermelon and corn on the cob! Afterward I took Madi to go get a swimsuit and then we got the slip ‘n slide set up.

Andrew started off trying to just slide on his knees, then it moved to jumping onto his knees and then laying down until finally he understood how to just jump and lay on your belly.
Jeffrey quickly became intreguided by the older kids and had to see what all the laughter was about.
He started to get wet so I changed him into his swimsuit.
It was a good thing I did that because he soon became brave and got right into the pool at the end of the slide…then he started to crawl and sit right in the middle of all the kids sliding around. He loved every second of it.
Next up…bubbles!
Then the poppers, smoke bombs, sparklers, etc!
Here is Jeffrey sitting in the highchair watching everyone.
Oh my Andrew. He was having a blast until the flower spinners did a loud pop at the end. Mom got them and had no idea they would pop. They said they were with REPORE. It scared him so bad. He kept running into the house screaming and covering his ears. After that it was hard to get him to enjoy anything because he was so worried it would make a noise.
He did however, go after the army parachute guy with dad.
We had a great 4th and it was exciting to do it at our new house. Later that night Grandma, Tyson and I went to Thanksgiving Point’s fireworks. They put on a great show. Brian stayed behind and put Jeffrey to bed and watched some neighbors shoot off fireworks from our bedroom window. Andrew loved watching the fireworks INSIDE.
